How to Support our Work

Solidarity, Reciprocity and Sustainability

Investment of your time is our most cherished resource. Any person prepared to spend the time and energy to take part in this unique learning opportunity is welcome.

In the past the MOOC has been free for all, but for 2024 we could use your help if you have the means.

To allow maximum access to the MOOC, especially for historically disadvantaged groups, we invite those with the financial means to support our work and offer a sliding scale of tuition options, outlined below.

Note: We encourage individuals and groups who have encountered barriers to accessing resources and opportunities, typically because of social, economic, or cultural factors, and who have experienced discrimination or systemic disadvantages to explore our free, reduced fee, and solidarity donation options below.

Thank you for considering the principles of Solidarity, Reciprocity, and Sustainability as we invite you to self-identify your tuition option at registration.

Principled Pricing

The Synergia MOOC introduces participants to the many ways that actors worldwide are adopting new approaches to economics that promote systems change.  These include solidarity economics, post-growth, degrowth and post-capitalist ways of thinking.

We are trying to do the same this year with our tuition options.

Full Fee: $140 CAD ($102 US; 94 € EUR; 82£; $156 AU).

For those with secure income and whose payments will be used to pay it forward for others to participate.

Reduced Fee $ 70 CAD ($51 US; 47 € EUR; 41£; $78 AU)

For those with a steady but modest income.

Solidarity Donation

Please note: You can make a donation at registration or wait until you assess the value of the MOOC towards your efforts to navigate transition with purpose and meaning.

It is for you to assess the value that you draw from our largely volunteer efforts and, if you have the means to make a donation, it will be deeply appreciated.

Your tuition or donation contributions represent a profound expression of both reciprocity and solidarity and will enable the Synergia team to hire a younger and more diverse team of people to help us carry out transition and systems change work in the years ahead.
